What to do if your ring is stuck?Updated a year ago
If this happens, try to stay calm; 99.9% of the time, your ring will eventually come off. This being said, it's important to address this sooner than later. The longer your ring is stuck on your hand, the more difficult it gets to remove it. Here are a few helpful tips:
- Run your hand under cold water for some time, then give it a few minutes to let your body to cool off.
- Apply hand lotion on your finger to allow your ring to slide off easily.
- If the above steps do not work, try again after a few hours, or give it a day or two. It's not uncommon for your body to experience bloating or swelling from time to time.
- If after two weeks of trying, and your ring remains stuck, consider visiting your jeweler to cut off the ring.
