The final width is also something that will get discussed and adjusted during the design process. For instance, while the width of a certain design is 1.7mm, to accommodate a larger-than-normal stone such as a 4ct, we may increase the width to 1.9mm and also bump up the thickness slightly. We make adjustments according to and in proportion to the center stone, while keeping the aesthetics unchanged.
